~ Coral

A summer student at World Services for the Blind, she digresses each year she is without out us. This year, Coral will age out of the School for the Blind, and will have no options for care.

Coral began her journey at WSB through the Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) Summer Program. Each summer, Coral's dad (an off-road trucker) asks WSB to take her in. Each year, we do. Coral has even stayed in the home of our CEO.

Coral's family lives below the poverty level in a multi-generational shack in rural Arkansas. Because of her I/DD coupled with blindness, her family is ill-equipped to help her. Coral spends her days in one room, unable to participate in family outings such as going to the grocery store.

Coral is joyous and kind. She loves to take care of the service dogs, and make pizza! When Coral is in our care at WSB, we give her the daily training to live a happy, thriving life.
